Day 01 of being Me!

In the cold hours of dawn, a great journey begins with the opening of a door...

Cat woke me up at an insane hour, as usual. Let her out, fed her, then went back to bed for another hour before having medication, lying there for another 30mins at which point I was a level of hungry which made having breakfast a reasonable thing to do.
Breakfast was nice this morning. Great start! I shopped from the wrong list so going to have to improvise a bit and play around with the substitutes on the list I was give.

Lucky we had just the right amount of cheese left, and it was reduced fat as well as Jarlsberg!
Mmm, Jarlsberg. I'm really being spoiled these past few days.

Cheese on Toast. Enemy of Intolerance.

When faced with uncertainty, our hero searches for a solution... and succeeds.

Apparently Western Star is butter and not margarine though, so have to watch out for that in the future. Still, interesting to know that 1tsp (5grams) is what Jenny Craig had on the menu and is also what Western Star has as the serving size.

My Mum's partner then came out and put about as much butter on his toast as there was toast which I thought was very meaningful in some kind of way. Have no idea if what I'm thinking of has a word, but if it does, I don't remember it.

It's berry half a cup! We are not a-muesli...

When the winds of change blow, our hero keeps looking toward the horizon

After being on Lite n'Easy for so long, having only half a cup with cereal was weird, but the way this tasted I didn't care. It was so good! Like Weetbix with the apricot bits, but with a bit of oaty texture every now and then. Didn't taste like apricot, but that fruity sweetness was definitely in there and recognisable throughout the whole thing. Lovely surprise.

The packets are really good looking too and have little pictures indicating what time of day they are for. You can just barely see 'super starter' across the top in purple. Safe to say when made doesn't look like the picture, but those are very clearly fresh or thawed blueberries so for anyone to expect it to look like that would be a new level of unrealistic expectation.

The whitest breakfast. They will fight each other for supremacy!

The sun melted the frost, she ate her bounty as she too was warmed by the morning's rays.

Went outside to eat. Was pretty fricking cold, but not enough to be a deterrent. To most of me anyway, my feet disagreed. I always have my cereal in that cup. It is my cereal cup. Mostly because when on Lite n'Easy I could easily poor a cup of milk without needing to measure it out when using this mug. In general though, I think it's a good idea as it stops from over eating with cereals. Half a mug is a good size, even though I get less than that, and you can get a better idea of milk usage too.

I bring up milk usage because despite my Mother and her bff drinking at least 10 cups of coffee a day each, I somehow manage to get the milk below the 'we're out of milk' line. Therefore I am often sent off on milk retrieval missions with the barest of supplies (they give me money, and sometimes there is enough change for me to save or buy a paper).

No matter the mood I'm in when I leave, I'm always better when I get back though. Walking is great for mood and mindset, even if negative vibes can be a big block for putting on the kit and going out there.

Speaking of walking I managed to get up to 2600 steps already and it isn't even lunch yet! 10,000 is the daily goal and thanks to SHealth on my phone literally every step I take while carrying it is counted, which is pretty awesome in my opinion.

Each new step she took was another closer to her goal. Into the light and the promises of each new day.

Just another day
Just living my way
Getting used to
Just being JJ
